Tesco Launches Sole Trader Card
Supermarket giant Tesco have expanded their finance operations into the small business sector, with the launch of a new credit card aimed specifically at sole traders.
The card, imaginatively called the Tesco Business Card, has an interest free period of up to 8 weeks, a middling interest rate of 13.9% and an annual fee of £25.
The main selling point of this card is that your spending will build up reward points at the rate of 1 point per £3 you spend, and these points can be used to reduce your fuel costs when filling up at Tesco petrol stations - potentially a decent benefit for those on the road a lot.
As with most business cards, you can have multiple cards linked to the same account so your employees can use the card too.
Paper statements are optional, with the main account management taking place on a dedicated Tesco Business Card site, from which you can download your figures direct into Excel and other money management software.
