BT (British Telecom) have launched a new credit card that can save you money off your phone bill, by automatically reducing your telephone costs as you spend using the card. The BT Card is issued by MBNA Europe, adding to their already extensive affinity and charity card portfolio.

The prospect of reducing your telephone bill is somewhat spoiled by the fact that paying your bill in this way will incur the charge that all non-direct debit payments are hit with.

Other features of the card include 0% on purchases for 3 months, 0% on balance transfers for 12 months (fee applies), and a standard rate of 16.9% typical APR.
