Lloyds Premier American Express launched
Lloyds TSB and American Express have partnered up to launch a new card featuring a personal concierge service, aimed at people with busy lives and high incomes. The rate is high at 21.2% typical APR, and with a monthly fee of £4.95 it certainly doesn’t appear to be a cheap card to use. Take the monthly fee out of the equation though and the purchases APR is a more realistic 13.1%.
In return for the monthly fee though, the added benefits could be considerable: the concierge service can handle many aspects of your lifestyle such as booking restaurants, checking flight times, tracking down special presents - in effect, it acts as a very well connected personal assistant allowing you to make the most of your spare time.
Other benefits include access to Priority Pass airport lounges at a reduced rate, and an enhanced version of the Lloyds reward scheme where each purchase you make earns you points to spend at premier partners such as Harrods, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Beachcomber Tours, and many more.
Is this card worth it? If you’re a busy professional who travels a lot, on business or for pleasure, and could benefit from a personal assistant to handle the day to day organisation of your lifestyle, you may feel the monthly fee a small price to pay.
