Egg plc have launched a new ‘blue Mastercard’ aimed at spenders rather than balance transferers, which will only be available to holders of the existing green Egg card.

It is designed to complement the original egg card, offering the same standard APR but an introductory 0% rate on purchases for 5 months, plus a cashback rate or 0.5% across the board on all purchases.

It will also offer many of the features of the normal Egg card such as special cashback deals of up to 10% with selected online retailers, and full online account management.

Holders of the green Egg card can apply for the blue version from within their online account logins.
