Co-op Think Credit Card
The Think card from the Co-op is a new charity card aimed at those for whom climate change is of particular concern. If you apply for one of these cards, the first time you use it half an acre of Brazilian rainforest will be purchased in your name and protected from development and destruction. Further, for every £100 you spend on the card, another 25p will be donated to the Cool Earth charity to help them continue in their rainforest preservation work.
The Co-op Bank have long championed the cause of ethical finance, and this card is no departure from that stance. Use the card at a selected range of ethical retailers, including Ikea, train companies, various Co-op businesses and many more, and you'll benefit from an interest rate of just 7% for six months compare to the normal 12.9% typical APR.
There's also a balance transfer feature of 7% for six months from the date of each transfer, no annual fee, and an interest free period of up to 59 days.
