Barclaycard Breathe
New from Barclaycard is their Breathe credit card which promises to help in the fight against climate change.
Cardholders will get a lower rate of interest when spending on public transport tickets with the card, and will also qualify for discounts on cycles bought at Halfords, home insulation by British Gas, and greener electricity suppliers.
More strikingly, Barclaycard say that fully 50% of the profits the card generates will be given to projects which tackle climate change, with a minimum donation of £1m guaranteed in the first year of operation.
More standard features of this credit card include a reasonable interest rate of 14.9% typical APR, along with an introductory balance transfer deal of 0% for 12 months (fee applies).
