Aqua - A Credit Card for Bad Credit

Aqua credit card

The Aqua Credit Card is ideal for anyone who has been turned away or had trouble obtaining credit from other companies. Aqua should be your first port of call if you are on a low income or have had poor credit history - even CCJs.

The company treats each application on an individual basis so the credit card APR will depend on your circumstances. The three main APR brackets are 35.9% Representative APR (Variable), 37.9% (Variable), and 39.9% (Variable).

Unlike other credit cards, the Aqua card comes with no annual management fee and there is no interest to pay if you pay your balance in full and on time every month. This is a great bargain if you can manage your money effectively. The card comes with a standard £2,200 limit but this can be increased once you have built up a credit history with Aqua.

The card is quite straightforward, it does what it says on the tin - provides credit. There aren't many additional benefits. There is, however, an optional extra to take out card insurance for £18 a year which provides you with emergency card replacement if you cards are lost or stolen. This is also covers lost cash and your driving license so is a real bargain.
