The American Express Blue Card

CARD NO LONGER AVAILABLE, details are for archive purposes only.

American Express (Amex) are one of the oldest and most respected names in plastic. Although originally best known for charge cards rather than credit cards, the Blue card is a fully fledged credit card.

It features an intro cashback rate of 2% for 3 months (called Moneyback by Amex), which then reverts to 1%. There's also a rather unexciting balance transfer offer of 2.9% APR limited to 6 months.

The standard rate is 14.9% typical APR, and there's no annual fee so long as you spend at least £500 a year using the card.
